Step Forward as a Leader and Help Build the Foundation for CCISDA’s Next Chapter
As part of CCISDA’s recent Strategic Planning process, many members shared that they want more opportunities to be involved in shaping the future of the association. In response, CCISDA is opening a Call for Interest for leadership and volunteer opportunities across the organization.
CCISDA exists to provide county technology professionals with meaningful opportunities to grow their knowledge, strengthen their professional networks, and find innovative solutions to meet the business needs of their counties. Over the past year, the Board of Directors and staff have gathered input, listened to member feedback, and developed a Strategic Plan that will guide CCISDA in delivering even greater value in the years ahead. Your participation will play a critical role in making this vision a reality.
Serve on the CCISDA Board
Board members are at the heart of CCISDA’s governance and operations. They guide policy, shape strategy, and set the overall direction of the association. They also serve as advocates for county IT leadership and play an important role in advancing CCISDA’s mission statewide.
Join a Committee or Advisory Group
Another way to get involved is by joining one of CCISDA’s committees or advisory groups. These teams bring members together to share expertise, collaborate on solutions, and build programs that directly support the work of counties. Current opportunities include:
- Finance Committee
- Audit Committee
- Leadership Development Committee
- Conference Committee
- Education Committee and Credential Program Subcommittee
- Legislative Advisory Group
- Information Security Advisory Group
- Communications Advisory Group
Help Build New Initiatives
Several of these committees and advisory groups are new or still developing. This creates a unique opportunity for volunteers to help define their purpose, establish priorities, and lay the groundwork for long-term success.
Why Volunteer
By volunteering with CCISDA, you will play a vital role in strengthening the county IT community across California. Volunteering also provides a chance to broaden your professional network, develop your leadership skills, and contribute to projects that make a lasting difference for counties of all sizes.
Next Steps
If you are interested in serving, please complete the Call for Interest Form no later than October 31. After your submission, the CCISDA team will follow up with next steps, which may include a conversation to determine the best fit for your skills, experience, and interests.
Thank you for your commitment to CCISDA and for supporting the county technology community. Your leadership and participation will help build the foundation for CCISDA’s next chapter.
