CCISDA Legislative Webinar Series

The CCISDA Legislative Webinar Series is a new member benefit designed to keep California county IT professionals informed on key legislation and policy developments impacting technology in local government. The series focuses on current California legislative activity and provides timely updates, expert insights, and space for open discussion. Webinars are held monthly and highlight the issues shaping the state’s policy landscape this session.

How to Register
These webinars are free to attend but are limited to active CCISDA members. To register, you must log into your CCISDA member account. Once logged in, you can sign up for individual webinars or the full series. Click here to register!

Who It's For
The CCISDA Legislative Webinar Series is a members-only resource designed to keep California county IT leaders informed on key legislative activity shaping local government technology. While especially valuable for CIOs and IT leadership, the series also welcomes participation from other county staff involved in technology-related policy work. 

Schedule
The series begins with a kickoff webinar on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Webinars will then continue on the third Thursday of every month through April 2026.

The format is built to provide concise legislative updates, highlight urgent topics, and invite dialogue among county IT professionals.

• A brief welcome and overview presented by a CCISDA Board member or volunteer
• A legislative update from Kate Bell of Kate Bell Strategies or a guest expert
• A focused discussion on a key issue, bill, or policy trend
• Live Q&A and interactive polling
• A quick wrap-up and preview of the next session

Each Friday, CCISDA shares a curated list of key legislative proposals from the current California Legislative Session. This resource is available exclusively to CCISDA members.
