Landon Beard

Landon Beard is the CIO for Nevada County, a rural county in Northern California. Landon joined Nevada County in 2003 as a Computer Services technician and held a variety of roles to develop his technical and leadership skills before being selected as an Information Systems Manager in 2014. In 2023, the CIO role became available and Landon was selected to that role.

Landon holds a master’s degree from University of Phoenix, and a bachelor's degree from University of the Pacific; both in Computer Information Systems. He continues his education in current industry trends and local government needs by participating on the CCISDA Board and completing a variety of continuous education programs and opportunities.
